About PCS

WHO WE ARE

PCS FAMILY SERVICES, INC. HAS QUICKLY BECOME A DRIVING FORCE FOR THE COMMUNITY, PROVIDING CLASSES TO LOCAL CHURCHES, DAYCARE CENTERS, SCHOOLS, DCFS, PAROLE, PROBATION AND DPSS CLIENTS.

OUR HISTORY

Originally named Project Caring & Sharing, PCS Family Services, Inc. was established in 1963 in the city of Pomona, California. Project caring & sharing was established by Mrs. Gertie Brown in 1981. It was the social ministry of Brown Memorial Temple C.O.G.I.C.

It is our desire to continue to meet the growing needs of our communities which will help us to encompass a more holistic approach by offering additional services such as our academic mentoring program, family support classes and our re-entry programs.

OUR STORY

Since 1981, P.C.S. has provided emergency food banks, clothing & personal hygiene items giveaways, health fairs, back-to-school giveaways, holiday hot meals, and holiday toy giveaways to single heads of households, senior citizens and the working poor in Pomona Valley, San Gabriel Valley and the surrounding Inland Empire.

P.C.S. Family Services, Inc. has quickly become a driving force for the community, providing classes to local churches, daycare centers, schools, D.C.F.S. Probation and D.P.S.S. clients.

OUR GOAL

In short, our goal is to save lives and reunite families. We believe the family is the most important institution in our society.

We have accepted the challenge to strengthen two of the most vital educating institutions — the family and the school.
